Thank you to everyone who braved Storm Amy and joined us on Saturday 4th October for our 2025 Rainhill CC Awards Evening at the Ex-Services Club. With over 180 in attendance, it was a packed and memorable night celebrating all that makes our club special.
We were proud to come together as one club — juniors and seniors side by side — to reflect on an outstanding year across the board.
Our U13s completed a fantastic league and cup double, the Academy XI swept to the league title unbeaten, winning every game they played, and our 2nd XI were crowned league champions too.
Alongside those honours, we recognised the efforts and achievements of all our teams — from our enthusiastic U9s and growing girls’ section, to our senior sides and women’s squad, every player contributed to a brilliant season. We also took a moment to applaud those who’ve gone on to represent Lancashire and interleague teams this year: Finn Millar, Maddie Rotheram, April Jones, Annabelle Clifford, Sarah Lawler, Nathan Lawler, Fin Venables, Ayaan Maheshwari, and Austin Williams — achievements they and the club can be truly proud of.
A special highlight of the night was having Keaton Jennings — current Lancashire opener and former England Test cricketer — with us to present awards to our junior section, creating a moment of real inspiration for our young players.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the night. Below is the full list of award winners for 2025.
