Having won the toss, Bootle elected to field first, putting Rainhill into bat. The Rainhill Amazons adapted well to the new overs format, posting a competitive total of 101 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 16 overs. Sam Du Plessis led from the front with a solid innings of 26 runs, while Ben Shute (12), Max Williams (13), and Alex Rustidge (18) also made valuable contributions.
