Rainhill CC Under 11s Amazons Triumph Over Bootle CC Under 11s A


In an exciting match, Rainhill CC’s Under 11s Amazons celebrated a victorious start in the standard overs format against Bootle CC’s Under 11s A team.

Having won the toss, Bootle elected to field first, putting Rainhill into bat.  The Rainhill Amazons adapted well to the new overs format, posting a competitive total of 101 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 16 overs. Sam Du Plessis led from the front with a solid innings of 26 runs, while Ben Shute (12), Max Williams (13), and Alex Rustidge (18) also made valuable contributions.

In response, Bootle CC Under 11s A put up a spirited chase but fell short, scoring 99 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in their 16 overs. Patrick Edwards top-scored with 28 runs, closely followed by Patrick Carroll with 25 runs. However, Bootle couldn’t quite match the required run rate.
