Winning the toss and batting first after a delayed start, Ormskirk fell to 37-3 after 11 overs. A 64-run 4 th wicket partnership giving the home side a shift in momentum.
Reaching a total of 161-8 after 40.3 overs, Ormskirk declared. Wickets where shared between the Rainhill bowlers, Luke Procter, Khalid Usman and Saeed Ullah all taking 2 wickets a piece.
In reply, Rainhill struggle to get any momentum against a very disciplined attacking Ormskirk bowling line up. Rainhill slipped to 36-5 from 17 overs and never recovered. Slipping to 55 all out from 29.5 overs.
