On a sun-kissed evening at Rainhill CC, the hosts won the toss and elected to field first in a crucial semi-final match with a spot in Finals Day at stake.

Rainhill’s fielders were exceptional from the outset, displaying sharpness and agility that kept Sefton Park CC – Under 11s Red under constant pressure.  They fielders backed up the bowlers with precise field placements, restricting Sefton Park to a challenging total of 69 runs for 11 wickets in their allotted 15 overs.

Sarah Lawler led the bowling attack admirably, claiming 2 crucial wickets while conceding only 7 runs.  Albie Ambage was also instrumental, delivering a maiden over that added to Rainhill’s dominant bowling performance.

Chasing a target of 70 runs for victory, Rainhill’s batters approached the task with calm determination.  Alex Rustidge (16 runs) and Sam Du Plessis (13 runs),  played pivotal roles in the chase, guiding Rainhill to a comfortable victory in 15 overs with the scoreboard reading 103 for 4.

Rainhill CC – Under 11s Amazons’ comprehensive victory was a testament to their all-round performance, highlighting their capability under pressure. With this win, they secure a spot in Finals Day, aiming to carry forward their momentum in to the final.
