On a warm sunny evening at Rainhill, the under-11s Amazons, captained by Albie Ambage, put on a splendid performance, clinching a comprehensive victory over Old Xaverians CC.

Rainhill’s batters displayed disciplined strokeplay and smart running, accumulating a formidable total of 113 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in their allotted 15 overs. Benjamin Shute was the top scorer with a fluent 15 runs, ably supported by contributions from Annabelle Clifford (12 runs) and Erin Jones (12 runs).
In response, Old Xaverians faced a daunting task against Rainhill’s disciplined bowling attack. Despite some resilience from George G who scored 17 runs, Old Xaverians struggled to counter the varied bowling skills of Rainhill.
